Vivid Edge Wins 2022 ESG Finance Award

Dublin, Ireland, 5 July 2022,

Vivid Edge, a climate action impact company headquartered at NovaUCD in Dublin, and an Enterprise Ireland HPSU, has been named winner of the ESG Finance Award, as part of the inaugural Business and Finance ESG Awards.

Attracting over 100 entries from 80+ companies nationwide, the ESG Awards were established by Business and Finance to recognise and celebrate individuals and groups who are actively striving to address environmental, social and governance issues. The Awards, across 14 categories, showcase the successes of ESG initiatives and examples of best practice, as well as highlighting the importance of transparency.

Vivid Edge simplifies the net zero journey for large organisations, saving them time, risk and capital, by delivering energy efficiency retrofits as a service. Vivid Edge funds 100% of the fully installed cost. Customers pay a monthly service fee once installed, with the energy savings often more than covering the fee. This enables these organisations to save energy and cut costs while helping the planet.

Tracy O’Rourke, CEO of Vivid Edge, said, “At Vivid Edge we believe that climate targets are achievable with a different way of thinking. We are delighted with the momentum and collaboration that is now happening to support ESG, and climate in particular. Congratulations to our fellow finalists and a big thanks to Business and Finance for establishing this important initiative.”

Tracy O’Rourke is a Fellow of the Cartier International Women’s Initiative for global impact entrepreneurs and a Fellow of the Barclays Unreasonable Impact programme.

Tracey Carney, Managing Director, ESG Awards, congratulating the Award winners said, “The entries for the inaugural ESG Awards were truly impressive with every corporation present deserving recognition for their efforts. The growing impetus to ensure ESG standards are met by companies has introduced a whole new range of technology solutions, ideas and products that are changing the way we do business. These awards celebrate those who are actively striving to address and progress ESG issues in their organisations.

The 2022 ESG Award winners were decided by a judging panel who rewarded the best in class under the 14 award categories, and one outstanding individual demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and ESG.

The judging panel included notable business leaders such as Faye Walsh Droillard, Founder of Wake Up Capital; Kathy Ryan, Head of Responsible Investment at Irish Life Investment; Margot Slattery, Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion at ISS; and Anne Heraty, Non-Executive Director for CPL.
